Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper is the official Lower Precinct Charity of the Year
The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity has been announced as Lower Precinct Shopping Centres new charity of the year after an online public vote saw them being unanimously selected with over 50% of all votes cast. Established in 2017, The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity was set up in memory of Eamonn Fallon; a loved Gaelic football and soccer goalkeeper who unfortunately passed away in Australia, aged only 31. Eamonn loved coaching and working with children, so the family thought that setting up a charity to give back to the community and help children develop through sport, was the best way to keep Eamonn remembered in the things that he enjoyed the most.
“The partnership with Lower Precinct gives The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity the opportunity to promote what they do and fundraise to our 200,000 + weekly shoppers. We are currently working with the team to develop an extensive plan for promotion and fundraising, which will include events and sporting activities in the centre that will engage and include our shoppers. The work The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity do in Coventry is fantastic and we’re delighted that they have been chosen. We hope to raise their profile locally in the coming months and raise lots of money for them,” said Nicola Cormell, Centre Manager at Lower Precinct.
Jackie Fallon, for The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity says “We would like to thank everyone who voted for the charity and are delighted to have been chosen. The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity is a small local registered charity, that aims to change the lives of young people through sport. We rely on fundraising activities and the generosity of people to support our work. We are looking forward to working with the shops and staff of the Lower Precinct throughout this coming year.”
